Bournemouth Oceanarium

The Oceanarium in Bournemouth is a little treasure, it's currently under going some refurb work so I got a cheap ticket for the day.. hurray!

There is something very calming when watching fish and listening to the gentle humming of the water, its relaxing and great to draw to.

I'm fascinated by Jelly fish and how they move in the water - beautiful creatures and I'm learning more about them each time I sketch them.

In these places I usually do quick ink sketches using permanent ink pens and then add water colour afterwards. My materials used - Faber Castell pens, Winsor and Newton water colour, Pink Pig Sketchbook , pro arte brushes.
